“A gentleman stepped into the hall of mirrors, where the lady guided him to his own reflection.”
A special session in Nice, France, with my favorite personal coach to figure out my next steps in both business and personal development.
After three years of running my own business—with a track record of taking companies to the stock exchange, conducting multiple share issues, handling numerous investor relations assignments, serving as CFO, being a board member in public companies, managing M&A projects, and much more—it’s time to develop the next phase. Let me be guided to that next step after a full day of workshops.
An evening in the old city, at a bistro in the main square, should contribute to the discussion as I remain open to new opportunities.
While I don’t function as a traditional management consultant, I often join management teams for short-term or long-term tasks, assisting organisations from a business management standpoint, either in a specific role or for various business development initiatives.
Do you serve as a board member?
I have held and currently hold board positions for publicly traded companies across all three significant marketplaces in Sweden, and for unlisted companies, either as a representative for a significant shareholder or as an independent board member.
Do you engage in corporate communications?
I am involved in corporate communications, working either on projects to create regulatory or value-enhancing communications, or assuming an overarching responsibility to manage investor relations.
Are you an investor?
I no longer function as an investor. In the past, I worked for several renowned Swedish investors. Nowadays, I focus on consulting tasks in management and communication and accept board positions.
Do you work in international relations?
Although I don’t hold a professional role in international relations, I undertake assignments that aim to foster trade between countries, for example.
I am proud to join the board of a company boasting a nearly one billion SEK turnover. As I introduce myself to the management team, I’d like to share a few personal interests that define my tastes and aspirations.
Verner Panton’s captivating designs have always been a source of inspiration for me, making him one of my all-time favourite designers. As a fan of American wine, I am particularly fond of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley. This passion is complemented by my love for espresso bars that exude an authentic Italian vibrancy. I thoroughly enjoy spending a day in St. James, London, where the unique atmosphere and sophisticated culture never cease to impress me. On a more ambitious note, I aspire to meet India’s Prime Minister Modi, who has skillfully navigated the complexities of leading the world’s largest emerging market while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
My favourite position on the board of directors is when I add business experience and knowledge in combination with intelligence and creativity. It provides the extra dimension that leads to the development of companies. It’s about monitoring the environment and an understanding of how business, society and the market are connected.
With a background in the above and creating inspiration and developing in a board of directors, I was cicerone for a visiting council in London. No other city is at the centre of the world, in a transformation and constant development, on all levels, from market to politics, as London.
Today’s theme was development and creativity in the position of the market. Bishopsgate is developing into a modern financial hub that strengthens London’s trademark. The neighbourhood next door, Shoreditch, fosters creativity in business development.
Sometimes magical also happened, where the final stop of our bus journey was Primrose Street, Benjamin Disraeli’s favourite flower and one of my favourites in England’s history. Magic. “A simple primrose wreath amidst the mass of floral tributes. It had been sent by Queen Victoria, with a simple message attached: His favourite flowers.”
My treasure map of London is not so secret anymore.
A unique map and a teamwork session with a board of directors when I guide them and create creativity and provide inspiration. As one of the highest decision-making constitutions, they must be at the forefront and constantly be in line with the outside world to show unique insight into the business.
Through my unique experience in London, they gain creativity, intelligence and action power from a new perspective that affects their management and the company’s development. Let’s start at Trafalgar Square. I have a true story about shareholder value and how to…
