Introducing Allesverloren Tinta Barocca: A Unique South African Wine Experience

Introducing Allesverloren Tinta Barocca: A Unique South African Wine Experience

Ladies and gentlemen, it is with privilege and great honour that I present to you Allesverloren Tinta Barocca.

A renowned South African producer offers this red wine made from an unconventional grape for most people. The wine boasts a spicy flavour with oak undertones, featuring notes of blackberries, plums, dark cherries, chocolate, allspice, and coffee. Best served at 16-18°C, it pairs well with lamb or beef dishes.

Tinta Barroca wines are characterised by their deep colour and hints of cherries, plums, chocolate, and sweet tones. Although primarily grown in Portugal, the grape is also cultivated in South Africa, where it was once used for port-style wines. Allesverloren, a winery in South Africa’s Swartland region, pioneered the first single-varietal wine using the Portuguese grape. Tinta Barroca wines feature a rich colour, notes of cherry, plum, chocolate, and a sweetish tone. The alcohol content is relatively high, and the wine exhibits soft tannins and, at times, a festive spice nuance.

An indispensable component in a multitude of cocktails

Sisters and brothers, it’s a privilege and with great honour that I present to you the liqueur Luxardo Maraschino.

Grown specifically in Luxardo’s cherry orchard, Marasca cherries (a variety of sour Morello cherries native to Croatia’s Dalmatia region) form the foundation of this unique liqueur. The Maraschino recipe has remained unchanged since 1821. Luxardo Maraschino is an indispensable component in a multitude of cocktails, several of them in the definitive list by IBA of the most requested recipes, used over the years by bartenders as an essential liqueur for any well-stocked bar.

Abbaye de Tamié by unpasteurised milk of Abondance cows

Abbaye de Tamié by unpasteurised milk of Abondance cows

Sisters and brothers, it is with privilege and great honour that I present Abbaye de Tamié.

The Abbaye de Tamié is produced using the unpasteurised milk of Abondance cows, exclusively by the Notre-Dame de Tamié Abbey monks in the Savoie region of the French Alps south-eastern France. It comes wrapped in paper decorated with a cross of Malta, making the cheese unique in its heritage.

I prefer the size “Petit Tamié” from Hilda Nilsson at the market hall in Gothenburg. The cheese pairs well with Chardonnay.

A selected triple from Gnarley Head

Let’s find time to enjoy the weekend now and drop the to-do list and all projects for some hours.
Recharging and boosting creativity can start new ideas and join us in a new co-op in the coming weeks at the next level. Welcome.

Sisters and brothers, it is with privilege and great honour that I present a selected triple from Gnarley Head.

With grapes from specially selected vineyards in Lodi and Monterey (California, USA), Gnarley lets us touch the coming start of the spring and enjoy the closing end of winter. We can feel the wind of change. This Chardonnay is full-bodied with bold flavours as we look back on the winter and let the Pinot Grigio boasts citrus blossom with Viognier in its rich fruit aromas when spring can hesitate.
